Dubai police announced at the 37th GITEX technology week that officers may soon be patrolling the city on new electric hover-bikes.
The Dubai police force continues to show willingness to lead the way in technology adoption as they announced that officers will soon be speeding around the city’s skies on electric hover-bikes. The battery-powered hover-bikes can fly at a height of five meters and reach speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour. The bike was developed for emergency response teams by Russian drone manufacturer Hoversurf and is called the Hoversurf Scorpion.
This was announced at the 37th annual GITEX technology week.
The scorpion can take an officer over heavy traffic in emergencies. It can also fly without a passenger and can go up to six kilometers.
