A BMW made from 90% recycled parts has set a new world record for the Longest Range of an Electric Vehicle. 

A hybrid recycling plant in California, ITAP, has built an electric vehicle that can travel upto1,600 kilometers on a single battery charge. This was enough to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest range of an Electric Vehicle, smashing the previous record of 1,298kms made in Japan in 2013.

This electric BMW, called Phoenix, cost less than $14,000 to build, less than half the price of the cheapest Tesla and is made of 90 percent recycled parts. The car, is a designed to showcase hybrid recycling and demonstrate to the world the amazing possibilities and potential derived from electronic waste recycling.
