In a display of Geo-spatial precision, once a year, the perfect alignment of the sun every veterans day November 11 reveal the beauty of Anthem monument, Arizona.

The Anthem Veterans Memorial (AVM), is a monument built to honor the armed forces of the United States of America in Anthem Arizona. It is meticulously designed to cast a perfect solar spotlight over a mark of the Great Seal. This happens at with a perfect alignment of the sun at precisely 11:11 a.m. [PT] each Veterans Day (Nov. 11).

“The five pillars represent the unity of the five branches of the United States military serving steadfast together.” Those include the United States Army, the United States Marine Corps, the United States Navy, the United States Air Force and the United States Coast Guard.

A lot of precision engineering went into the construction of this monument.  According to Jim Martin, the AVM chief engineer, the statistical considerations factored into the design will guaranty that even if the structure is still standing in 500 years, it will work.
